At present, the scale of China's textile industry for security protection has ranked first in the world, with product types covering multiple fields such as military and police protection, emergency firefighting, petrochemicals, and power protection. During the 8th China Security Protection Textile and Clothing Industry Innovation and Development Forum held in Xi'an on May 16th, Li Lingshen, Vice President of the China Textile Industry Federation, pointed out that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has listed the security protection industry as a national strategic emerging industry, emphasizing the promotion of industry chain self-reliance and self-improvement through key material innovation and cross industry cooperation.

The forum, with the theme of "Technology, Intelligence, and Green", focuses on topics such as research and development of new textile materials, breakthroughs in intelligent manufacturing technology, green and low-carbon transformation, and expansion of industrial applications. It systematically plans the development path of new quality productivity, which is of great significance for promoting high-quality development of the industry. More than 500 representatives from the government, industry associations, universities, and upstream and downstream enterprises in the safety protection textile and clothing industry chain attended the conference.

Jia Xiaogang, a second level inspector of the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, delivered a speech stating that the safety protection textile and clothing industry is an important foundational industry for safeguarding people's lives and serving national strategic needs. In recent years, the Shaanxi Provincial Party Committee and Government have attached great importance to the development of traditional industries. The Seventh Plenary Session of the 14th Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Party Committee Economic Work Conference pointed out that the "chain length system" should be used as a lever to promote the upgrading of traditional industries, the growth of emerging industries, and the cultivation of future industries. Large scale demonstration actions for the application of new technologies, new products, and new scenarios should be implemented to shape new driving forces and advantages for development. This year, the report of the Provincial People's Congress and the Provincial Government proposed to accelerate the research and development of chemical fiber materials, develop synthetic fiber textiles and functional fabrics. This fully reflects the unwavering determination of the provincial party committee and government to promote transformation, gather momentum, accumulate energy, and promote innovation. He stated that by 2025, in accordance with the "one body, two wings" industrial development pattern, the Guanzhong region will focus on Xi'an, Xianyang, and Baoji cities, establish a textile industry system dominated by functional fabrics, safety protection materials, and functional fiber industries, covering multiple industries such as aerospace, national defense and military industry, automobile manufacturing, energy and chemical industry, medical protection, and modern agriculture.
